Consolidated Communications has partnered with WEIU-TV to bring area residents a new television channel that will feature local sports, community and civic programming.

“Your 13” can now be viewed exclusively on Channel 13 of Consolidated’s Digital Video Services (DVS) channel line up.

The channel is a production of WEIU-TV and features a variety of programming, such as student-produced news broadcasts,  college music concerts, colege sports,  high school sports, and Spotlight  featuring local business cards of area businessses in central Illinois.

Another regular feature on Your 13 is WEIU-FM’s morning radio program – All New Morning Mix 88.9.

“We are excited about this opportunity to bring more local programming to our DVS viewers,” said Joe Dively, president of Telephone Operations for CCI. “We know there is interest in local sports, community events and city government programming, and we’re looking forward to working with WEIU-TV to bring this programming to our customers soon.”

Linda Kingery, program manager for WEIU-TV noted that the Your 13 line up is unique, and differs from WEIU-TV’s PBS broadcasting channel. “This is a huge opportunity for us to expand our local programming to area viewers while partnering with Consolidated Communications to provide the community with another local viewing opportunity,” Kingery said.
